Looking for fairly short (< 10 pages) fiction, essays, or poetry for high school sophomores. Don't overestimate how much these 15-year-old readers can take in; good clear narratives or vivid imagery are necessary.

Need I mention I would much prefer female authors? I'm open to an expansive definition of "girl" or "female," but no cis men writing about girls.

Thanks.
