What are some towns rich in art/craft galleries?

Mr. DrGail and I love visiting towns with at least a few good art/craft galleries. I'm looking to compile a list of places we could go when the spirit moves us. In previous AskMefi questions, you all have introduced me to places like Eureka Springs Arkansas and Charlevoix Michigan. These are the types of arty places I have in mind, and I'm open to anywhere in the US/Canada. If there's a "must see" art fair or festival, I'd love to know about that too.
