What are some books for kids that are "cool" and also school positive?

Can anyone recommend a book or series of books that don't necessarily need to be set in or around a school but have a main character who has positive school experiences, friends at school, and a good relationship with their teachers? My kid is close enough to 10 that anything with a range either side of that would be ideal.

My kid tends to copy attitudes they read in books. Right now there's a lot of talk about hating school despite actually presenting as enjoying going there. I have a suspicion it's because most of the fiction we've been reading together has the main character being a self professed dork who gets bullied at school and doesn't have any friends, at least at the start of the story. My inner cynic thinks this device is used in children's fiction to get a quick bond with a sympathetic main character. I'd like to try something that's more positive about school and see if that helps.
