Countryside or cruise boat for Perseids peak

Gonna be dark next week, but I'm in a well lit city at a high latitude. Are you an experienced stargazer, compare my options with me inside.

I'm taken care of on the educated guesses and chatbot front thanks.

I'm looking at an option south of Stockholm or going out to see on a cruise ferry to Finland.

Going north of Stockholm might be better, but also brings us further up in latitude and there's another decent sized city north. The sky should be dark on the ferry, but the ferry will be bright, limited options for darker corners.

Could I make a viewing tunnel to shield boat-light somewhat?.or use an umbrella behind me?
I've never had a successful viewing in the Stockholm area, including this island
