On a whim, at work, I wrote a grant for a Mac mini M4 with 64gb of ram and two TB of storage. I'm supposed to be using it to experiment with the intersections of LLM AI, and technical communications. But I'm also thinking--this is a metric butt-ton of computing power. I'm wondering if there is anything interesting or socially useful I could be using this for.

It seems like it would be great for video editing. https://foldingathome.org/ looks like a good option. Thank you for lending me your imagination and insights.

Side note: I toyed with the idea of installing bitcoin servers on the classroom machines at work, years and years ago. I probably would have gotten fired or cashed in the bitcoin when it hit five dollars.
