The 403 error ("You don't have permission to access this resource.") occurs when the user page URL contains special characters like a space (%20). This causes the server to misinterpret or deny access to the resource.

Solution:

The user SoualWjoab solved the problem by modifying the rewrite rule in their Q2A .htaccess file. Specifically, the rule was changed to:

RewriteRule ^.*$ index.php?qa-rewrite=$0&%{QUERY_STRING} B,L]

Adding the B] flag to the RewriteRule has the effect of "back-reference escaping." This helps correctly process special characters like spaces (%20) in the URL, preventing the 403 error.

To apply this fix:

  1. Access your .htaccess file in the root directory of your Q2A installation.

  2. Locate the relevant RewriteRule line (it's usually the one that redirects all requests to index.php).

  3. Add the ,B flag after the L] flag (if it's not already there), so it becomes B,L] or L,B]. The user SoualWjoab used B,L].

  4. Save the file and check if the issue is resolved.

Note: Before making any changes to configuration files, it's always recommended to create a backup of the original file to prevent unintended issues.
