My house's crawlspace is entered through a hole in a floor covered with a plywood cover that's wobbly when stood on. I want to be able to securely latch the cover. Using something like 4 of these $15 a piece boat cam latches look to be a possible solution. Are there cheaper alternatives? (I certainly don't need stainless steel) Any other suggestions?
The crawlspace entry is in a laundry room and I don't particularly care what it looks like.
I like this type of latch as all I need to do to install is drill 2" holes in the cover.
