Can you recommend a Manhattan, NYC bar or restaurant with an outdoor patio or rooftop for a medium-size casual hangout?

Here is some criteria to help with what I'm looking for:
1. This would be a Sunday afternoon, likely starting around 4 or 5 PM.
2. This is a law school graduation hang out with probably 25-30 people.
3. We would prefer to find somewhere that would not be too busy at this time and that would not require an official reservation.
4. Outdoor area is preferable, but rooftop also works.
5. A public-ish area that would not be too crowded could also work, as long as they let people consume alcohol. Are there shops at Bryant Park or Madison Square Park that sell alcohol?
