Thinking about getting an IUD and I have some friends who have had them for years who said their periods stopped at some point and haven't come back. Regardless of how I feel, though, I wonder what the science says? I just keep thinking that a period is like the body's way of cleansing itself but I don't actually understand the biological mechanism behind that. Is there any harm in stopping that process? |
