TRAILER] When a city-bred woman (Claudette Colbert) discovers after her wedding that her husband (Fred MacMurray) has impulsively bought a run-down chicken farm without warning, she is thrust into a chaotic new life in the Pacific Northwest. As she struggles to adjust to rural living and her husband's misguided agricultural ambitions, the couple contends with their delightfully unhinged, off-kilter local neighbors, most notably the oddball hillbillies Ma and Pa Kettle (Marjorie Main and Percy Kilbride).
