I've been watching the social media of Scottish men winning over the city of Boston, even the women. One Scottish fan made a video about one American man verbally attacking two American women at a bar after the women rejected his invitation to join them at another bar.
American Guy: Oh cool, well I'm heading out, do you two want to come out with me?
And the women said "No thanks," but in a friendly tone.
Back to Scots Guy: "And then the switch up was insane, to 'Oh my God why do you have to be such bitches? Why are you so stuckup like that, bro?'
Scots Guy: "If a guy acted like that in Glasgow, the man would get kicked out immediately, maybe even battered down a wee bit, because that's unacceptable. Things like that just do not happen over here. And if you do, you're just absolutely shunned."
Though I used quotation marks, this is a rough retelling of the story. So, Men of Scotland (or perhaps just Glasgow) is this true? Do men correct other men when they are out of pocket? Or is this a Just So Story for social media |
