As per my previous question, I'll be spending a few days in Boston later next week. Looking for your recommendations.
Meeting some friends in Boston. Need activities and food. Difficulty level: Four adults, one wheelchair, two kids ages 7 & 10. Staying near Fanouil Hall. No car. Uber or public transit ok. Also larger crowds because World Cup.
Looking for recommendations on walking (or boat?) tours. Mom wants kids to see Freedom Trail. There are two tours that leave from Fanouil Hall. Head north or head south? Or maybe a harbor boat tour? Or a non-national parks tour? Or skip the tour and just check out the sites?
Friends are staying in Seaport for a few days. Recommendations for dinner in that area that is good, not too touristy(?), wheelchair accessible. Same question for good food and dessert in the North End (wheelchair accessible seems difficult up there).
Seeing a Red Sox game and doing a tour of Fenway. Good restaurants near the stadium? We'll have time to kill between the tour and the game.
Other thoughts on don't miss stuff near the city center? Places to chill and let the kids run around? Brewpubs suggestions welcome. Seafood suggestions welcome. Other Boston-exclusive type suggestions welcome. We'll mostly be on foot; not hitting Jamaica Plains or even Cambridge this trip.
Side question, is Salem worth the detour as we head out of town? Is there much to see if we just do a drive through |
