Do doctors even doc anymore

I feel like I'm going nuts; both my doc and my pharmacist keep insisting that the doxycycline I've been prescribed should not interact with either my oral contraceptive or my (prescribed by the same doctor!!!) iron supplement. But literally everything I see in packaging and online says the opposite. Am I missing something? I'm not about to take any risks re: the birth control, but like...should I be questioning my doc's competence here
