New Baby, Good Neighbors

If a lightly connected person to you (i.e a neighbor) provided help when you had a newborn, what was helpful? If you helped someone in the same situation you didn't know that well and felt like it wasn't too much of chore but felt helpful, what did you do?

My wife is very pregnant-- our due date is less than 3 weeks away. In the last couple days, we've had two different barely-connected neighbors (within the first 3 times meeting them) say "please let us, really, know if you need anything." when the baby comes.

Assume the ask is genuine and our desire (yes, wife is on board) to connect with my community is genuine. (I understand many folks on metafilter may be aghast at something like this , but assume I live in a neighborhly community and like to connected with others.).

Obviously with other things going on I don't want to be stressed about it too much, but I would love to have some thoughts in mind since the offer is out there.

Some snowflake: we have a 3 year old toddler as well, one couple is almost same situation as us (have a newborn and a newborn), the other couple is a childless married couple.
