Seek lightweight but warm blanket

My beloved retro Vellux blanket has died. I can't replace it with another Vellux blanket because the ones they make these days are poor quality. What reasonably budget-friendly blanket might be a doable replacement?

I liked Vellux because it was lightweight and yet warm. Microfiber and fleece don't seem to float the way Vellux does - they seem clingy, instead. I don't like the pressure of a heavy blanket on my feet. Comforters don't work because I need layers to toss off and put back on to cope with my moody body temperature. Do you have a blanket you love that fits what I'm looking for?
