If you are an artist, how do you store your works? How do you decide what to keep? I'm more interested in the hobbyist/amateur, but would love data-points from any artist on how they manage a growing hoard.

How should I deal with an accumulating pile of painted canvases? I paint as a hobby, usually on canvases. Most are between 12"x12" and 24"x30". While the works are not objectively "good" or "skilled", they are meaningful to me. I am also, unfortunately, very prolific. I give away lots to friends and occasionally sell some, but these things are piling up in my basement.

If you are a crafter or art hobbyist, what do you do with your finished works? Do you keep all of them? If not, how do you decide how much and what to keep? How do you store them? I'm less concerned about archival quality and more interested in avoiding metastasizing clutter. I'm likely too emotionally attached to destroy them but I'm not sure what else to do. They're idiosyncratic enough that they're probably not useful as donations to most institutions. I'd like to get a sense of how similarly-situated people handle this issue. Thanks in advance!
