I made these peanut butter cookies. I cooked 6 and they are ... not good. What can I add to the rest of the batch to fix them?
The cookies turned out soft and crumbly, but not in a delicious way. They are glossy on top and soft and have a mushy/mealy texture. The apricot jam I used (as suggested) was a bad idea, the sharp apricot wasn't a good choice here. Let's assume I have 85% of the batter left, and it's got jam, natural peanut butter, and eggs in it. Can I add a cup or two of flour and some butter and make this work? or maybe some oats? or... what?
I was hoping for a variation of these cookies from Smitten Kitchen but wow no. |
