One possible approach might be to change your theme so that it hides the title field in question and ask pages, and auto-fills the title with a preview from the body on submit (so that you can stick with the title being displayed in the question list). For the former some CSS adjustments should suffice, but for the latter you're going to need some additional JavaScript and/or changes to the PHP code of the theme AFAICS.
