Both CTRL keys have stopped working - help!

I've got an Asus laptop running Windows 10 that has suddenly stopped recognizing my CTRL keys this week. How can I restore them?

I never realized how much I use these keys until I no longer had access to them. The internet tells me all I need to do is press CTRL + ALT + FN to fix this, but it does nothing. The issue is occurring with both my left and right CTRL keys, but no other keys seem to be affected. It's vexing, and any ideas to fix this would be deeply appreciated.
