I'm interesting in reading (or reading about) self-help/personal development/wellness/family relationship books or essays written from a non-North American, non-individualist perspective.

Generally, I'm interested in what the self-help/personal development genre looks like in other cultures, especially in Asian/collectivist cultures. My more specific interests would be around self-confidence (especially for women), parenting, and adult parent-child relationships, but totally interested in other topics as well. I realize there may be a lot that's not in translation, so a summary or essay discussing such resources would be great.
