How can I secure my yahoo account?

I can't figure out how to check if any 3rd party is accessing my email because the info I find online on how to do it seems out of date.

I've found links that say go to settings and then mail options. There's no mail options under settings. I've found links that say no- go to account security and then turn on/off the third party app button. There is no such option under account security.

I'm at my wits end here it really shouldn't be this time consuming and difficult to make sure you're not being hacked. Why do they switch their interface so blatantly around every year so that no one can find anything??? Please help.
