Anonymous users are showing badges !!

I am using the latest version Q2A Badges plugin on 1.8.3. If an anonymous person inputs a name on his question and if there is a registered user with the same name, the badges for the registered user will show beside the name of the anonymous user on question lists. That means the Q2A badges plugin is using username as the key. Actually user must be identified with a unique ID number. Where is the problem lies with? In the Core or in the Badges Plugin?!!
