St. Joseph's Institute of Management or SJCBA was established in 1968, and is located in the heart of metropolitan city Bangalore. SJIM got approved from AICTE, New Delhi, for a Two Year Full Time PGDM programme in 1996. SJIM received AICTE approval to enhance the intake from 60 to 120 students in 2007.
SJIM secured approval from the AICTE for offering the Executive PGDM and PGCM programs in 2007 and he first batch of Executive PGDM and PGCM were launched in 2007.

Highest compensation has been 12 Lakhs per Annum. Every year there are about 25% new organizations. SJIM placement cell provides in-house training programs and the training program includesweekly presentations by students on current topics in Business and Management, weekly Online Aptitude Tests, workshop on “Facing Interviews & Group Discussions†conducted in small groups, Spoken English classes on the Toast Master format, Foreign Language Training for interested students, Soft Skills training
Internship is a mandatory affair and the placement cell is actively involved in the summer internship programme which encourages students to undertake research-based / On the job projects for a period of 8 weeks, in order to gain practical experience and a few corporate, basis the performance of the students, offer jobs as pre-placement offers (PPO) and an opportunity to work with them after the second year of studies. SJIM library is equipped with a good collection of Management Literature in traditional print and electronic resources. The library has upgraded from a traditional library to digital library managed by in-house software. The library has a collection of over 16,000 books, 90 National & International Periodicals.
The Lab is well equipped with systems coupled with compatible operating systems, configurations and software programs. The Wi-Fi enabled campus enables the students to leverage course material with utmost ease. The Canteen is committed to providing meals, snacks, and refreshments to students and faculty at any part of the day. The indoor games facility provides recreation and it includes table tennis, or enjoy a game of carom or chess.
The SJIM Men’s Hostel is located on Victoria Road and women’s hostel in Brigitine Hostel on Brunton Road and Marian Ville Hostel, Good Shepherd Covent, Museum Road. The hostel provides hygienic food and continuous hot water supply is provided. The hostel is Wi-Fi enabled and has a basketball court and table tennis board.
