How Ecto Escape pickup scoring works
Ecto Escape awards points when you land on a tile carrying its pickup icon, and each icon moves after you collect it. At a 10 times multiplier, for example, one pickup earns 20 points, while a roll that misses an icon earns no pickup points.
There isn't a permanent target tile, so inspect the board before each roll rather than committing to one multiplier for an entire session. Icons roughly six to ten spaces ahead are useful to watch, although their position doesn't guarantee a landing.
1 Match your multiplier to the board
Adjusting your roll size to the visible pickups helps you balance potential points against the dice you'll spend. A cluster gives you more landing opportunities in a short stretch, while a lone distant icon gives you less reason to risk a large roll.
Use the current layout to guide your next move.
• Three icons close together ahead of your token make a higher multiplier more appealing than an isolated pickup.
• A low multiplier limits the dice committed to each roll when icons are scattered or sit behind your token.
• Collecting an icon changes its position, so the board you assessed before that roll may no longer offer the same opportunity.
A higher multiplier increases the points from a successful pickup, not your certainty of reaching one. Check the new layout after every collection and keep enough dice for the milestone you've chosen.
2 Pick a milestone that fits your dice
Your target determines how much progress you need before the next meaningful return, so choose it before spending heavily. The full track has 100 rewards and requires 112,900 points, making completion a much larger commitment than an early stopping point.
These cumulative targets offer useful checkpoints.
• Milestone 20 requires 2,500 total points and lists 575 rolls, while Milestone 25 requires 4,400 points and lists 925 rolls.
• Milestone 31 arrives at 6,275 points, with approximately 1,380 flags collected from Ecto Escape by that point.
• Milestone 56 lists 2,200 rolls at 33,625 points, while Milestone 62 lists 5,000 rolls at 51,625 points.
For a race-focused run, Milestone 31 is a reasonable checkpoint if preserving dice matters more than pursuing the later roll prizes. Milestone 62 suits a larger reserve, but reaching it still takes substantial scoring, and the listed roll rewards can differ on your board according to net worth.
The stretch after Milestone 62 requires another 61,275 points, and the last milestone alone needs 22,225 points for its listed 5,000 rolls. Compare that distance with your remaining dice before continuing, rather than treating the last reward as an easy extension of your progress.
3 Time rolls around boosts and overlapping events
Boost windows and simultaneous events can make a rolling session more useful, but they don't remove the cost of missed pickups. Plan around a promising board and the rewards you need, not simply the start of a scheduled boost.
The event schedule provides several opportunities.
• High Roller windows run from 11:00 AM to 7:59 PM ET on October 31 and from 2:00 AM to 9:44 AM ET on November 1, with another starting at 10:00 AM ET on November 1.
• Tycoon Class scores railroad landings, so a railroad carrying a pickup can contribute to both events on the same roll.
• Sticker Boom runs from 1:00 PM ET on October 31 to 11:59 AM ET on November 1, overlapping with milestone packs such as the three-star pack at Milestone 26.
High Roller runs on a personal timer once triggered, so a visible cluster is a better reason to start it than the clock alone. The Racers event closes at 3:55 PM ET on November 1, a few minutes before Ecto Escape's stated close, so leave time to use any flags you've earned.
What should you do before Ecto Escape ends
Choose a reachable milestone, check the pickup layout and your dice before each session, and stop when the next prize is beyond your remaining resources. Claim your event rewards before the close, since unclaimed rewards aren't guaranteed to carry over. For your next album goal, you can browse Mogo stickers and consider which ones fit your collection.
