Which Bully weak point should you shoot first
Start with an exposed yellow knee, especially while the Bully is approaching or turning. Each leg has a joint you can damage, and concentrating fire on the same joint can sever that limb. Spreading shots across different legs and armored body sections makes it harder to finish the part you started damaging. A missing leg does not make the machine safe to approach.
The mounted cannon becomes another target once you remove its protective head housing. Treat this as a different task from shooting an already exposed knee: first you need to break the protection, then place shots into the yellow area underneath. Shooting the armored torso is not a substitute for deliberately targeting either opening.
When should you aim at the mouth
Aim at the mouth when the head opens immediately before firing and reveals two yellow canisters. The opening lasts roughly half a second. Hitting those canisters can interrupt the attack and briefly stop the Bully, creating an opportunity to continue firing at a joint or the cannon.
This is an opportunity, not a shot you must attempt every time. When your aim is unsettled or cover is already within reach, break line of sight. The Bully's turret can rotate through a full circle independently of its movement, so letting the body run past you does not remove the threat from its weapon.
How to create a clear shot at the knees
Fight beside a building edge or another substantial obstacle, then move sideways when the Bully commits to its mostly straight charge. Fire at the same knee while it turns, and return to cover before extending the exchange. Its ranged cluster explosives split into smaller charges, so an open doorway or window should not be treated as complete protection.
A Tether Launcher briefly restrains a leg, while a Showstopper can interrupt movement. Use either immediately before you are ready to fire, not before a lengthy reposition. Solo players need that short opening to steady their aim; squads can use it to concentrate damage on one agreed joint.
Choose armor damage or exposed-part damage deliberately
The Hullcracker is useful for removing protection, but armor damage and weak-point damage are not interchangeable. The Frozen Trail 2.0 update, released on October 8, 2026, increased explosive damage against ARC armor plates by over 50 percent while reducing damage against more fragile parts by around 30 percent. That makes breaking plating a different weapon decision from attacking an exposed joint.
Jupiter is easier to place when the target is restrained or stopped. Aphelion offers another option for the brief head opening, while a weapon requiring sustained contact has less opportunity against a moving Bully. Choose equipment around the opening you can reliably create, rather than assuming a powerful weapon removes the need to aim.
Find a patrol with cover nearby
Search Pendola Pass for a patrolling Bully rather than expecting one to remain at a fixed marker. Listen for its heavy gallop, then identify cover before approaching. After destroying it, search the main body and broken weapon housing for a Bully Fragmenter, and inspect the remaining wreckage if those containers are empty.
Before deciding to buy ARC Coins, settle on the equipment already available for your next attempt. Choose one knee as your opening target, prepare your restraint tool before engaging, and take the mouth shot only when you have a clear aim and a route back to cover.
