What are you using for AI images right now?

I'm putting together a small sci-fi card game with a friend, and we've reached the point where we need artwork for the cards, menus, and a few promo images. Neither of us can draw, and paying an illustrator for every single concept isn't really realistic while we're still testing the idea. I've played around with a couple of AI image generators, but the results are all over the place and I don't really want to spend a week signing up for ten different services. What would you use for this kind of thing?

AI image generator

Half these generators look amazing until you ask for something even slightly complicated and suddenly somebody has six fingers and the spaceship changes shape in every image. I'd mess around with Leonardo AI for a while and give it a couple of the harder scenes from your game, not just simple portraits. See how it behaves when there are two characters, a detailed background, or something specific that absolutely needs to stay in the picture. You'll find out pretty quickly whether it's going to cooperate or drive you nuts.

AI Image Generator

The bit that would put me off fastest is having to babysit every image and fix the same stupid mistakes over and over. That's manageable for a couple of pictures, but not when you've got a whole pile of cards to get through. For a project with that much artwork, I'd try Flux 2 here: https://yesai.su/en/flux . Throw a few of your actual card ideas at it and see what comes back. If it gets closer to what you had in mind without endless tweaking, that's probably the one I'd stick with.
