He played 11 seasons in the NFL for seven different franchises and had 281 receptions for 3,445 yards and 16 touchdowns. This will be his first coaching role in any capacity. But that should not be looked at as a negative. Snead earned a significant role on Payton's squads by being a grinder, a player willing to do the little things, such as blocking as a receiver.
