Build Around the Item You Actually Need
It is tempting to craft the first Mythic Unique that sounds impressive. That is often a mistake. Look at your build's weakest point first. Does it struggle to stay alive, run out of resource, or lose too much time between elite packs? A defensive item may improve your progress more than a small offensive boost. The best choice is the one that lets you clear harder activities with fewer pauses, because faster clears also mean more materials, experience, and useful equipment.
Check which skills and stats your current setup relies on.
Compare the Mythic Unique options that support those mechanics.
Choose the item that improves survival or clear speed most noticeably.
Keep spare materials until your first choice is properly tested.
Where Resplendent Sparks Come From
Resplendent Sparks provide the reliable route to a specific Mythic Unique. You can earn them through important seasonal goals, including progress on the journey and full reputation with the season's faction board. Stronger rewards come from high-level boss encounters and the seasonal Echo of Lilith objective. If a Mythic Unique drops and does not suit your character, salvaging it at the Blacksmith returns one spark. That makes an unwanted drop useful instead of leaving it to gather dust in storage.
| Season journey | Complete major chapters | Steady early progress |
| Faction reputation | Reach the highest board rank | Reliable seasonal reward |
| Boss milestones | Defeat pinnacle encounters | Extra spark opportunities |
| Salvaging | Break down an unwanted Mythic Unique | Turns surplus gear into progress |
Make Masterworking Count
Once the item is crafted, do not rush straight into the toughest activity. Test it in the content you already run. Notice whether cooldowns feel smoother, whether resource generation keeps your main skill active, and whether incoming damage is easier to handle. Mythic Uniques begin with their defining affixes at strong values, so Masterworking can push those benefits further. Watch which upgrade lands on the important stat, and keep improving the item when the result supports your build rather than simply raising its item level.
A Practical Route to Stronger Clears
Start with seasonal objectives, then work through reputation tasks and accessible endgame bosses. Save every Resplendent Spark until you know which item fits your setup. Once that choice is made, craft it, test it, and invest in Masterworking before chasing another major piece. This approach feels slower for an hour or two, but it avoids wasted resources and gives your character a clear direction. For players filling smaller gaps between major upgrades, cheap D4 items can also support the transition while the next spark is being earned.
