After trying what felt like every hyped-up bottle on the market, I kept hearing about Stacy Lash. Some lash artists swore by it as their holy grail, while others warned it was too fast for beginners. Curious (and desperate for better retention), I picked up a bottle of their Extra Strong formula.
Here is my honest, unvarnished experience using Stacy Lash adhesives in a busy, real-world lash salon environment, along with what actually works if you want to get 6+ weeks of retention out of it.
First Impressions and The Learning Curve
When you first open a bottle of Stacy Lash Extra Strong, the first thing you’ll notice is the thin, liquid consistency. If you’re used to thicker, slower-drying glues that give you a few seconds to adjust your placement, this stuff will shock you.
The cure time is fast—around 0.5 to 1 second.
My very first set with it was a mix of awe and mild panic. I realized instantly that my old habit of dipping the extension, walking it over to the natural lash, and taking my sweet time aligning it just wasn’t going to fly. The glue was drying mid-air before it even touched the natural lash. I ended up with poor attachment on the first few outer corners because I wasn't moving fast enough.

With Stacy Lash, I put it to the ultimate test: my regular client Sarah, who is notorious for working out daily and sweating through hot yoga classes. With our previous adhesive, she’d come back every two weeks needing a full fill because her natural oils shredded the bond.

To manage this, I do three simple things:
Always use a small nano-mister or lash fan for 2 minutes before having the client open their eyes.
Apply a bonder at the end of the service to instantly cure the adhesive and lock in fumes.
Keep a mini air purifier right next to my lash bed.
If you have a client with known, severe allergies, skip the Extra Strong line and opt for a sensitive formulation instead. But for 90% of standard clients, proper ventilation completely solves the fume issue.
Tips for Getting the Best Results Out of Your Bottle
If you decide to try it out, here are a few practical habits that saved me from wasting product:
Shake like your job depends on it: Shake the bottle vigorously for at least 1–2 minutes before the first drop of the day (or use an electric glue shaker for 30 seconds). The pigment and cyanoacrylate separate quickly.
Clean the nozzle religiously: Never squeeze the bottle with the cap on, and always wipe the nozzle with a lint-free wipe before screwing the lid back on tightly. A clogged nozzle will ruin a $30 bottle in a week.
Store it correctly: Keep it in an airtight container with silica gel packets or uncooked rice, away from direct sunlight. Never store your opened glue in the fridge—condensing moisture inside the bottle will ruin the entire batch.
If you are a beginner lash artist who is still struggling with isolation speed, Stacy Lash might feel a bit intimidating because of how fast it cures. But if you have your isolation down, work at a steady pace, and keep an eye on your room's humidity, choosing a quality lash glue like this will instantly elevate your work.
It solved my retention headaches, built massive trust with my clients, and cut down my set times significantly. It’s easily earned a permanent spot on my lash cart.
