U4GM poe2 What Physical Bow Crafting Route Is Best

Why the budget version works
The main swap is simple. Instead of chasing Greater Essence of Seeking, you lean on Greater Essence of Abrasion. That one change keeps the craft affordable and gives the bow the kind of flat physical damage that feels good right away. You will notice it fast in low-tier maps. Packs drop quicker, rares stop feeling like a wall, and you do not need a perfect tree just to make the bow behave.
What you gain and what you give up
- Lower cost, so you can craft sooner instead of waiting around for a big pile of currency.
- Cleaner early progression, since the bow does enough damage to keep mapping moving.
- Less long-term growth, because non-crit setups usually fall behind once gear gets stronger.
- Weaker resale value, which is fine if the goal is just to get going.
Sometimes you get lucky and find a bow base with T1 or T2 flat physical damage plus a T1 hybrid physical roll. People usually ignore these and move on, but that is often a mistake. If the base is cheap, you can still build around it. A common route is Greater Essence of Seeking, then Omen of Necromancy, followed by a Vaal Orb, an Unveil, and finally an Exalt Slam. It can work, sure. The catch is that high % physical damage is much harder to land afterward, so this only really makes sense when the starting base costs almost nothing.
Recycling extra bow bases
There is also the old 3-to-1 recipe trick, which a lot of players forget about once maps start speeding up. Keep spare Obliterator Bows and Warmonger Bows instead of vendoring everything on sight. Three Magic Bows can become one new Magic Bow, and three Rare Bows can become one new Rare Bow. It is not flashy, but it keeps good bases moving through your stash and saves a bit of currency. SSF players especially get a lot out of this, since every extra base matters when drops are uneven.
When to move on
This style of bow is best treated as a stepping stone. Use it early, use it hard, then replace it when your gear and currency catch up. That is the whole point. If you are shopping for upgrades or just comparing options, it helps to keep an eye on POE 2 Items for sale while you decide whether to keep crafting or move straight into a stronger crit bow.
