You quickly realise in ARC Raiders that picking up a BluePrint can completely change the way you play. They are not just random loot – once you use one, your character permanently learns a new recipe to craft gear or weapons. No timers, no limits after unlocking, you can head back to your workshop any time and make that item as long as you have the materials. This means you start off just scraping by with whatever you can find, but over time you build your own personal kit exactly the way you want it, without relying solely on lucky drops. It is a solid step up from scavenging to being properly prepared for whatever the ARCs throw at you.
Finding these schematics is where things get tricky. They can drop from pretty much any container you open, so it sometimes feels like a lottery. You could get one from a random crate out in the wild – but chances are you will get ammo, crafting bits, or something else entirely. That element of surprise makes looting fun, but it is not the most efficient if your goal is to grab as many blueprints as possible. Wandering without a plan will burn time fast, and in this game, time out in the field means exposure to more enemies and more risk.
Players who want to improve their odds tend to focus on Medium and High Value Loot spots. On your map, Medium areas have a clear orange glow, and High Value spots shine red. These places have a much better chance of holding blueprints in their containers, along with other top-tier loot. Heading for these zones cuts out a lot of low-value searching, giving you more shots at snagging something rare. The catch is they are rarely quiet. Medium zones still throw decent resistance your way, but High zones are something else entirely, full of tougher ARC patrols and hazards that can shred you if you are not careful.
And here is the tense part – you are never alone in these high-reward zones. Other raiders know exactly where the best loot is, and they are just as determined to grab it as you are. Sometimes you will be fighting machines, then suddenly another player barrels in to snatch the container you were clearing. Trips to these orange and red spots can end with an amazing blueprint in your backpack, or with you respawning empty-handed. It all depends on how you weigh the danger against the reward. In the end, pushing into those risky areas is what gives you the shot at the kind of BluePrint that can completely redefine your loadout.
