Sony stopt met loyaliteitsprogramma Playstation Stars

Sony introduceerde in 2022 een nieuw loyaliteitsprogramma voor zijn PlayStation gebruikers, maar een heel lang leven is het programma niet beschoren. Sony heeft nu namelijkaangekondigddat ze PlayStation Stars gaan stopzetten.
Het is niet langer mogelijk om je voor het programma aan te melden en op 2 november 2026 zal het definitief stop worden gezet. Tot die datum is het mogelijk om punten te gebruiken. Digitale collectables verzamelen en levelen zal mogelijk zijn tot 23 juli 2025.
“Since launching the program, we’ve learned a lot from evaluating the types of activities our players respond best to, and as a company, we are always evolving with player and industry trends.
Through this evaluation, we have decided to refocus our efforts and will be winding down the current version of PlayStation Stars. We will continue to evaluate our key findings from this program, and are looking into ways to build upon these learnings.”

De digitale collectables blijven na het stopzetten van het programma wel toegankelijk om te bekijken.
