The Diablo 2: Resurrected community has taken to referring to a particular unique Shako, known as the Harlequin Crest, simply as "Shako." This is the name that is most commonly used. Because the Harlequin Crest Shako is dropped at random, there is no way to know for sure whether you will find it in a particular location. On the other hand, there are some places where it is significantly more likely to fall than in other areas. You can play through these areas over and over again until one of them drops if you are really determined to obtain one.

Defeat Baal while playing on the Nightmare difficulty.
In the late stages of the game on Nightmare difficulty, it is possible for the Harlequin Crest Shako to drop anywhere, but the only parts of the game that are worth running repeatedly are the battles with Nihlathak and Baal. Both bosses, but especially Baal, have a good chance of dropping it. However, the odds are in Baal's favor.

Play through Act I on the hardest possible setting, Hell.
If you would rather not obtain the Harlequin Crest Shako from bosses, then the chances of it appearing as a random drop during the early stages of the game on Hell — particularly in the Black Marsh, the Tamoe Highland, and the Underground Passage — are reasonably high. This is especially true if you play on Hell. Bosses are a more reliable source for the Harlequin Crest Shako.

Defeat the Cow King using the Hell difficulty setting.
On the Nightmare difficulty, the Harlequin Crest Shako can be dropped by the Cow King, but it is exceedingly unlikely. The chances of obtaining it are, thankfully, significantly improved when playing on the Hell difficulty setting. You will also come across Rakanishu and Griswold while you are attempting to unlock the portal leading to the hidden cow level. Rakanishu and Griswold both have a possibility of providing you with the Harlequin Crest Shako if you kill either of them.

Take down Andariel or Mephisto while playing on the Hell difficulty setting.
On the Hell difficulty, the Harlequin Crest Shako can be dropped by any of the act bosses, but Andariel and Mephisto are the most common targets for players who are "farming" it. Because the odds of getting a drop from Duriel are not significantly higher than the odds of getting a drop from Andariel, you should go straight to Mephisto if you are up for a more difficult fight.

It is well worth the effort to look for the Harlequin Crest Shako because it is among the game's most impressive one-of-a-kind helms. Taking into account the high level at which it becomes available, its armor rating is quite low; however, the bonuses it provides are all very good, and this holds true regardless of the class you play as. If you are playing as a tank build, then you might want something more resilient; however, if you are not playing as a tank build, then the Harlequin Crest Shako is an excellent choice. If you are able to locate it, that is.

The following privileges are available to those who equip the Harlequin Crest Shako:
+2 To All Skills
+1.5 Life and +1.5 Mana per Character Level Damage Reduction equal to 10%
Increased Probability of Obtaining Magical Items
+2 To Each And Every Attribute

Is It Worth Playing as a Necromancer in the Current Season of the D2R Ladder?
It is generally agreed that the Necromancer is one of the most powerful classes in the game. It has a fast-paced playstyle, which allows it to overwhelm enemies with an onslaught of attacks. Additionally, it has the ability to pump out incredible amounts of Poison, Fire, and Physical Area of Effect (AoE) Damage within a single Skill Rotation, which makes it nearly impossible to defend against. When you consider all of these factors in conjunction with the fact that it deals this amount of damage across a large area while moving around, the Necromancer class is a monster evaporator.

Having said that, no class is without its flaws, and the Necromancer is one of those classes that has a steep learning curve and is notoriously difficult to master. It is also not the best at dealing a great deal of damage to bosses and is quite ineffective during the early game. It does not come into its own until the middle to late game. However, we are able to create a Necromancer that will be feared in the upcoming D2R Ladder Season 3 by putting together the optimal build for the class, which will help mitigate the effects of some of these problems.

Poison Nova Necromancer is the best build for the Resurrected Necromancer class in Diablo 2.
The Poison Nova build is our pick for the best Necromancer build available in Diablo 2 Ladder Season 3. This build focuses on doing one thing extremely well: dealing a great deal of damage across a large area. This is accomplished through the use of Poison Nova and Corpse Explosion, both of which deal Poison, Fire, and Physical damage in a single rotation. Additionally, it makes use of Sunder Charms to break down the enemy's resistance and provide an opening for you to deal massive amounts of damage.

Reduces the target's resistance to almost any immunity that may be possible. Amplify Damage, Lower Resist, Conviction Aura, and Sunder Charms all contribute to this effect. And when combined with Poison Nova and Corpse Explosion, both of which deal damage of their respective types, this means that any creature, regardless of whether or not it has immunity to the specific types of damage dealt by these abilities, will be reduced to eating dirt.

Once you have mastered this build, there is very little that can stop you once you are out on the field of battle. However, it may be difficult to get the hang of at first. In the following, we have outlined in greater detail the particular pieces of equipment, sockets, and abilities required for the Poison Nova Necromancer build in Diablo 2 Ladder Season 3.

Which Mercenary Should You Use With Your Poison Nova Necromancer Build in Diablo 2?
In line with the recommendations for other builds in Diablo 2 Resurrection, the Act 2 Desert mercenary that can be hired from Greiz is considered to be the best option available. This Mercenary utilizes the Jab attack as their primary method of attack and comes equipped with the Aura ability. The Aura is called Might, and it provides you with a damage buff that can help you deal with enemies that are immune to Poison. In contrast, the Jab can be used to deal damage to enemies that are wandering around aimlessly.

In addition to that, the Mercenary should make use of the Infinity War Pike, which lowers the enemy's resistance and enables you to deal even more damage. In addition to that, it grants you the Conviction Aura, which gives your Corpse Explosion a significant damage boost. The Act 2 Desert mercenary is absolutely necessary for your continued existence in Diablo 2 Resurrection Ladder Season 3, given the current configuration.

Because it may be difficult for you to keep the Mercenary alive before you have the bare essentials that are recommended in this guide, we strongly advise you to take care of that matter first. After you have done so, you have the option of either dragging and dropping Healing Potions onto the portrait or directly feeding them from your Belt in order to keep them alive.

If you find yourself in a position where you've lost a Mercenary in combat, you can bring them back to life by speaking with any of the Mercenary NPCs found in each Act. You must keep in mind, however, that the maximum amount of gold that you can spend on this endeavor is 50,000. Each time you perform this action, the cost will increase.
