Although there's not an expansive large open world, like Elden Ring or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild It was fascinating to have a larger area to explore. The previous Diablo games featured dynamically generated map that was large but restricted.
Although Fractured Peak was still restricted but it didn't feel as if I was confined to an area. There are horses to purchase, but only after you have completed the quest, which is accessible later.
When I was playing the game I was captivated by the story of Diablo 4 and how it played. This isn't the same as what I experienced in Diablo 3 where it was the game's gameplay that kept me playing however the story was swiftly lost.
Add to that an open world, and I was more drawn to explore, while also imagining the ways I could build my Barbarian. It's the combination of gameplay and story that made the game I played in Diablo 4 so interesting and will be the same for those who love it when it comes out.
