In response to the rumored interest in his profile , which was put up in 2006 there was a rumor that the account was still alive but this was also alleged to be a lie up to hackers who quickly gained access to his account. While neither of these claims are 100% proven however, this virtual version of a ghost story does reveal a different interesting aspect about MMORPGs: a bit of legends can be re-created about the players who actually play their money.
I'm not sure whether the statue of The Old Nite nevertheless exists but it was situated near the southern edge of the Wilderness (or "Wildy" for short) which is a vast expanse of barren land in the north, inhabited by the use of animals and participants-killers. I've never visited the site to look at the statue. I'm a fool.
The biggest flaw of RuneScape, which could also be its biggest advantage, is one that's used in the form of almost every MMORPG the sheer strength. One of the thrilling quests and high-octane PvP battles, there's the constant grinding away at mundane household tasks like fishing, cooking or mining with a goal to upgrade or earn credits to purchase that new helmet or item of armour. Gotta make cash somehow, proper?
While these sports might be somewhat therapeutic, it's time that is spent playing the same problem over and over again - time that can or will be better spent playing some shorter, but no more conventional games.
