Once you have bought an air fryer, you have another big decision to make and that is what air fryer cookware to buy, find an air fryer safe bowl, look for an air fryer safe pan and loads of other air fryer accessories that you hadn’t thought about until now.

You see, an air fryer is not like your standard oven and is a different shape and instead of heating up in the traditional way, you’re using air technology instead.

For me it reminds me of when you first set up home and you need all these pots and pans as well as bakeware, pyrex etc.

It can get a little crazy.

Says someone that only 3 months ago (well from writing this) moved countries and went through the process of buying everything again!

And then there is the other issue as to get air fryer cookware, its all about cookware that will actually fit in the air fryer.

And then the other burning question gets asked, and that is if you can use glass in the air fryer.

Today on the podcast I wanted to share with you if you can use glass in the air fryer and some other top tips.

Can You Put Glass In Air Fryer?
Yes, you can put glass in the air fryer and even Philips, who are the biggest and best and original air fryer manufacturers also confirm this.

And like Philips confirms, you can use any cookware that is oven safe in an air fryer.

That means that you can put glass in the air fryer. You could use glass bowls in the air fryer, glass dishes in the air fryer, glass butter bowls in the air fryer and so much more.

Can You Put Pyrex In Air Fryer?
Yes, you can. Just like a regular glass bowl that is allowed in the air fryer, pryex is also perfect for the air fryer.

Long story short, when we lived in Portugal there was a coupon collecting deal at our local supermarket. Each time you spent 10 euros you go a sticker coupon and once you had 25 (which was easy over a month) you had enough for handing in your sticker book and getting some new pyrex.

For the first time ever, and over several months, I had loads of pyrex and I was keen to use it in the air fryer.

Pyrex In Air Fryer?
The only consideration that you need to make with pyrex in the air fryer, is will it fit? A lot of the pyrex is aimed at casseroles and one pot meals in the oven and these dishes are often 4 times bigger than the width of my air fryer.

That means you need to shop around and find some pyrex that is suitable size for the air fryer.

I would also recommend pyrex more for the air fryer oven, as its like a mini oven and more suitable for it.

Glass In Air Fryer Disadvantage
And even though Philips allow you to use glass in air fryer and consider it to be safe, there is one disadvantage you need to consider.

That is that the air fryer works by circulating lots of air fryer around the air fryer. When you use an air fryer container such as pyrex in the air fryer, or an air fryer glass bowl, the circulation is not as good.

This means that it will take LONGER to cook food if it has been cooked using glass in the air fryer.

If you do want some ideas for glass in the air fryer, I recommend you start with this.
