God of War is making its way onto the small screen through an Amazon TV series. In the past, there was speculation it was possible that Sony together with Amazon were discussing ways to bring Kratos God of War's story to life but there was no confirmation. In the last week, Sony confirmed that God of War will be made available for Amazon's streaming platform.
But it seems like it's most likely to be in the very beginning stages. No director, writer, or casting has been assigned to the project. However, Dave Bautista suggested that he's willing to playing Kratos even if it's just to prove those who doubt his work wrong.Another show confirmed in the last week is an adaption of The Horizon series.
This is the one most likely to be the least followed of the gamesbecause it has a very rich and wide-ranging world, with many distinctive characters, which are not part of Alloy. God of War and Ghost of Tsushima's titles refer to specific characters, so they're bound to the protagonists of their respective games, but Horizon is able to expand a bit. Right now all we are aware of is that it's currently in the works at Netflix.
There's no word on the release date, casting, or story.There are a variety of reports on what this particular project actually is however Gran Turismo is set to receive some form adaptation. According to reports, Sony is eyeing District 9 director Neill Blomkamp to helm a Gran Turismo film, but it's not known what the story is going to be. There was also speculation that Sony declared that the possibility of a Gran Turismo show was in development, however it's possible the information was inaccurate and Sony claimed it was a film , and not more. However, something is going on and it's causing confusion among fans.
