The scripted dialogue seems to be missing and the NPC is left looking awkwardly at the player for about five full seconds in complete silence. What makes this comedic sequence is the character's dialogue does appear, but they respond with, "oh, I got you!" before going out of the room.
While it isn't confirmed as a glitch, it's certainly out of place enough to be considered one. The glitch does not appear to be an issue that could be considered game-breaking and falls in a grouping to the bug that causes Baldur's Gate 3.
Also, it is possible the response of the NPC is determined by the player's performance , and in the event that no adjustments are needed in line with the game, then there is no response. It's not clear how widespread this potential silence problem is among every version of NBA 2K22.
