Photo folder or something on an iPhone

I want the equivalent of a photo album, on my phone. I don't want it to be part of the Photos app -- it should be its own independent thing. It needs to open quickly and work in airplane mode.

I'll use it to hold 10 - 20 inspirational images during an upcoming event. I want to be able to think "I am doubting myself! I will glance at my inspirational images!" then click one icon on the phone's desktop and immediately see the first page of a small stack of photos and screenshots.

What's the simplest way to do this?
