In The French Dispatch, there's a moment (18m30s) where a transition happens and I'm wondering if it has been used previously in any other films (to avoid spoilers, I'll detail it below)
The character of Moses Rosenthaler "switches/transitions" from being played by Tony Revolori (young Rosenthaler) to Benicio Del Toro (old/current Rosenthaler) while the two actors are in frame at the same time. It's a beautiful moment and I'm wondering if there's any antecedent elsewhere in film. |
