I wish I could just plant Spanish lavender -- what plant would be in that 2-3' height range with long-blooming flowers in the purple to dark purple range that could tolerate partial shade? I'm planning to plant a row of 3-5 between rows of grasses: low mounding blue fescues in the front and tall pale green / yellow needlegrass in the back. (The fescues are doing okay -- only the one furthest into the shade died. I don't know how the taller grass will find this location.)
