Unemployed and Job Hunting

Should I take a job I don't want?

I've been unemployed for 3 months now, I was paid a lump sum severance that would last me until January and that's when unemployment would begin. I have 6 years of HR experience and an MBA. I've submitted nearly 150 applications everywhere even to entry level positions or related fields with no luck. I've had 10 phone interviews/phone screens so far with no luck except for one job that's currently checking my references. The job market is competitive right now.

When I think of accepting the job, I feel dread. At first I was feeling desperate willing to accept anything but now I'm having second thoughts. The people are nice and so are the benefits but so many things about the job is what I am trying to move away from. I do not want to be recruiting, I don't want to be in the mental health field (I've done this for my first job and I hated the environment), I don't want to be driving 1-2x a week around the state for 2-3 hours at a time, I've been trying to move away from non-profit. I've really been trying to move forward to HR Generalist instead of being stuck in my entry level position.

I'm lucky enough to have my husband work so I don't have to worry too much about bills, just be careful with spending. I feel like I don't need to be desperate yet but at the same time I wonder how this would affect my unemployment in January should I decline the job or maybe I'm shooting myself in the foot for declining.
