The song started with a simple repetitive guitar change. Vocals came in slowly. It had a big loud explosive chorus with distorted guitars and the singer had a fair amount of grit in his voice.
I believe either the band or the song had the word "red" in the title.
It had a music video. I believe the song was about kids running away from abusive households.
I think the band might have been canadian because I saw the singer intro the video on an episode of much music countdown.
The hosts tried to interview the singer about the songs meaning and he made it plain that he was encouraging kids to run away from abusive house holds and it was kind of awkward. I remember the singer also kinda looked like Roger daltrey from the who.
