Answered: Loading animation

Q2A has a couple of built-in functions for showing/hiding a theme-specific loading animation with JavaScript:

• function qa_show_waiting_after(elem, inside): Show the loading animation within the elem node (when inside is true) or after it (when inside is false)
• function qa_hide_waiting(elem): Hide the loading animation shown in node elem.

In Snow Flat theme the loading animation is a spinning beach ball like this: , which is at qa-theme/SnowFlat/images/spinner-icon-14x14.gif.

With this information in mind, it is possible to:

• Customize the loading animation
• Create a plugin that will show/hide the loading animation whenever you want
• Customize Q2A itself for using it as needed
