I'm starting a new job next week. Due to the state of the world, it's going to be a remote position for at least the next month or two. What can I do to make this go smoothly?
Not much more to add, really. Around the time everything blew up, I interviewed for and got a new job. It wasn't intended to be a remote position, but it is for the forseeable future. I'm starting on Monday. I've worked with distributed teams before, but almost always with at least some local, in-office component, and always with some face-to-face getting-to-know-you time. This is my first fully remote experience. So, people who have done the fully remote thing, what can I do to make this go well? what pitfalls should I look out for? |
