This is an in the moment sort of question. It's currently 1:23 PM where I am. At about 10:50 AM the rental car I am driving got sideswiped by another vehicle on one of the parkways that goes through Queens, NYC. Since that time, I have been waiting on an adjacent side street for the police to show up to take an accident report. Although I got the other driver's information, they are now long since gone. My plans for the day are now shot, but I'm getting awfully tired of waiting here. Should I stick it out and keep waiting so I can have an official report? My main concern is that I don't want this incident to come back on my insurance since I am not at fault. |
