Is there a plugin that will automate the display of custom fields on my wordpress site so I don't have to fuss with making a child theme?
I already installed the Advanced Custom Fields plugin but in order to actually display the content I have to go into the theme files and edit the php and I don't feel like getting into all that (I used to be able to do it but I am pretty rusty). Is there a plug in that will let me point-and-click add the custom field content to the places I want it to display without me having to make my own child theme? I have already tried installing a bunch of plugins that promised to do this but then didn't actually so I would like to skip doing that a hundred more times if possible.
If it matters:
- I want it to display under the content on the archive page and on the page for each post.
- The content I want in the custom field is a link. The link will always say "Download" but it will be a different link for each post obviously.
- it matters it's a Wordpress.org site installed on my own web hosting. |
