What kinds of cases would use a pension valuation report?

In Canada, are there cases besides marital breakdowns where a pension valuation report would be used?
I'm a Canadian actuarial student looking to transition into litigation support work. People who do this work will provide different types of reports to lawyers to support their work. These can be pension valuations (for marriage breakdowns), effective rate of interest calculations and valuation of future cost of care (for personal injury cases). Very few people do this work, so it's hard to find someone to contact to get more information on the work involved. So, I've been trying to find cases where these types of reports have been entered into evidence and requesting copies from the courthouses. The problem I'm having is that pension valuations tend to be used for marriage breakdown cases, but these reports would not be accessible to the public because they take place in family court. So, my question is - are there other types of cases where pension valuations would be used besides marriage breakdown cases, so that I'd be able to request the reports?
