Dayananda Sagar Institutions was founded by late Sri Dayananda Sagar in the 1960s. He was visionary who committed to take knowledge to the people. Dayananda Sagar University was established in the year 2014 which was created by an Act of the Karnataka State. The DSU is started with the intension of meeting the needs of quality higher education in this part of the world and transform todayâ€™s students into professional leaders and responsible citizens of tomorrow. Dayananda Sagar University started its academic year in 2015-16. It offers courses in Engineering, Computer Applications, Health Sciences, Management and Arts in the Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D levels. University provides support to the academic activities are the Centers of Excellence in InformationTechnology, Health Care, Energy and Life Science, and other fast growng fields of study. The University aims to offer many more PG and UG programs in Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering and Technology and Management Education in coming years
